Power Yoga: For People Who Think Yoga Is Boring

Power Yoga is like the rebellious cousin of traditional yoga — it listens to the body, sure, but with a little extra flair. It’s all about balance and counterbalance, control and letting go, movement and stillness, and sometimes just trying not to faceplant during a flow. It’s intuitive, dynamic, and unapologetically sweaty.I trained in Ashtanga Yoga, which I love — but over time, Power Yoga stole my heart (and occasionally my hamstrings). It all started because people kept telling me, “I can’t sit still,” or “Yoga’s just too slow. I’ll get bored.” That’s when I knew I had to shake things up. If people won’t come to yoga, I’ll bring the yoga to them — with energy, momentum, and just enough burn to make them rethink their life choices (in a good way).I choreograph my own flows like a yoga DJ — making sure transitions feel natural, while planning ahead for different abilities. Whether you’re a bendy pretzel or a stiff plank, you’ll feel included and challenged — if you’re up for it.My mission? To make Power Yoga accessible for everyone — whether you’re a couch potato, a gym junkie, or somewhere in between. This isn’t about being perfect; it’s about showing up, sweating it out, and surprising yourself with what your body (and mind) can do.
